RentLens is a Chrome extension that helps users screen rental property listings and calculate deal metrics while browsing supported real estate websites.

Single Purpose

RentLens provides on-page rental deal screening for supported real estate listing websites by reading listing information, showing first-pass rent targets, and calculating rental investment metrics such as cash flow, cap rate, cash-on-cash return, DSCR, and the 1% rule.

Data RentLens Handles

RentLens may read public listing content on supported real estate websites, including listing price, address text, rent estimates, listing links, and visible listing details.

RentLens may also store user-entered calculator assumptions and saved deal information in the user's local browser storage. This can include purchase price, monthly rent, down payment assumptions, interest rate assumptions, tax, insurance, HOA, repairs, vacancy, management assumptions, listing address, listing URL, and calculated deal metrics.

How Data Is Used

RentLens uses this data only to provide its rental deal screening features:

Data Sharing

RentLens does not sell user data.

RentLens does not transfer user data to third parties for advertising, creditworthiness, lending, or unrelated purposes.

The current version of RentLens does not send listing data, saved deals, calculator assumptions, or browsing history to a RentLens server.

Local Storage

Saved deals and calculator defaults are stored locally using Chrome extension storage. Users can delete this data by removing the extension or clearing the extension's local data.
